Prospective Clients
GEOMAP is an entrepreneurial unit within the Department of Geography-Geology offering
support in research, and training to other departments and units at
Illinois State University and the community in areas of GIScience (e.g.,
cartography, GIS, GPS, remote sensing, and spatial statistics). As none
of the personnel lines are base-budgeted and GEOMAP faculty are not
provided release time, virtually all such activities must be supported
with monies, gifts, or exchange in services. For this reason, it is not
feasible to complete projects for university faculty and staff on a pro
bono basis at this time (see the resources below for pricing information).
Pricing and Quotes
Other pricing mechanisms may apply depending upon the nature and size of the proposed project. Such details will be discussed and outlined during contract negotiations. Students who work on GEOMAP projects are paid through the university on an hourly, biweekly basis. Faculty members normally are compensated via extra pay or summer salary in proportion to the amount of work required for the project.
